Our daughter’s preschool just posted a couple hundred photos of her class celebrating a few of the recent Muslim, Chinese and Hindu holidays. They colored in pictures of mosques to celebrate Hari Raya, the end of Ramadan. Created lanterns and ate pomelos for the Mid-Autumn (or Mooncake) Festival.
And for Deepvali, the Festival of Lights? Something that you would probably never see a class of four year olds doing at a preschool in the United States:

We did not know she played with a sparkler until we saw the photos. Coincidentally, in the same collection of photos the children were dressing up as firefighters and doctors.
