Citrus got a major haircut the other day, at her request. I think she wanted the shorter hair that her friends have at school and everyone was getting tired of combing out the knots every morning.
Here is a 10-minute video. The beginning, middle and end of a 40-minute haircut. You would think that it is entertaining for four people in the world but 31 people viewed it on YouTube in the first hour. Three hundred people watched a previous version in two hours. People have a lot of free time.
I thought it was remarkable that at age 4 and three months she sat perfectly still the entire time except when I was distracting her.
But lest anyone think she is an angel, we came home to find out that she peed on her bedroom rug. Again. And pooped into a shirt. As far as we can tell it is not a rebellious act. She just wakes up mid-nap and refuses to go to the toilet.
Needless to say, we were not happy. I had warned her that she was going to ruin her rug, so I began to roll it up. That is when we discovered the mold.
In the last three months our cat has developed severe allergies of unknown origin. All three of us have had a bad cough in the past couple weeks, and I am already very allergic to mold and dust. I am hoping we found the source of our problems. A little moisture went a long way and the white mold spread around the perimeter of the rug. It is now sitting in the sun outside; hopefully it can be saved as there are no stains.

Oh my goodness, my dad uses the same joke on me: gluing on my hair after a haircut. Ha ha.
And for the record, I think you are cute enough for a pony tail.
