After the dragon boat fiasco it was nice to return to something a little less frantic like bowling with the military spouse association. Our team is the Kingpins.
If there is one thing consistent about military life, bowling is it. You may not find it in the books but at some point in America’s military history it was decided that bowling is such a wholesome and inexpensive sport that every base should have an alley. Even Diego Garcia, in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
I may not be very good but I am not the worst player at the alley. It’s a start. Plus, if you start to feel light-headed you are already on shore.
