I finally culled down the photos from our trip to Cebu in the Philippines in May. Many of the photos were taken around my dad’s house on the northern tip of the island.

These are amazing. I love the house–it is beautiful. Such lovely details.
The goat feeding picture gave me flashbacks of the Oakland zoo and feeding goats–didn’t they put the feed in plain ice cream cones? Is that why I have always preferred sugar cones?
Such a neat experience–thanks for sharing!
Great shot of a water buffalo! One of the most interesting and versatile animals I have come across in the Philippines.
I shared your photos with my father and when he saw this particular photo he told me that as a little boy, his family had to flee Manila and move to the countryside during the war. While there, he remembered riding on the back of a carabao seated behind two local boys. He thought that without a doubt he would fall off and die, but was determined to stay on because making city boys look like sissies would be a far worse fate!
