It is hard to believe that we have been here almost one month. We have been busy with a lot of small things to settle in — and of course, Elysia is working — and the time is flying by.
My typical day begins with getting Citrus showered. It was always a good idea to give her a daily bath and here her sweaty hair starts smelling funky very quickly. Of course I always smell like a rose.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays we go to playgroups in the morning. Lunchtime we often meet Elysia, about fifteen minutes away and pick up our mail. Then it is nap time and, if nap time went well, about three and a half hours at the pool.
The pool almost doubles as a community center. We have already been to two birthday parties and two more are coming soon. You have to appreciate a place that has a disco ball suspended from the outdoor canopy.
It is a rough life, I know. On top of this grueling regimen we just bought a gas grill and a Wii. You know, just in case Citrus and I have to do a 7-day home quarantine after a trip to the States. Today Singapore announced that all students returning from studying in the United States must be quarantined, so who knows what the future holds. Hopefully the flu will die down or at least go into a lull with the changing seasons. Worrying about dengue fever is enough for us.
Click HERE for a few photos of Citrus. I need to take more of a variety of pictures but she is always a good subject for practice. Here she is just sitting at a table and sweating. The Singapore Sling sitting next to her is not her drink of choice.

The color saturation in these is amazing!
The funny thing is that I didn’t manipulate the color at all. I think the camera is on the basic setting, not “vivid” etc. I wish all my pictures came out like this! Must have been the lighting?
